A Study of Proverbs
Sunday Mornings
10:00 AM
There is no other book filled with more practical wisdom than the Book of Proverbs.

It is one of the most beloved portions of the Bible for good reason. But, how few actually delve deeper than just a surface reading?
O, the great benefit of asking ourselves pertinent and penetrating questions in light of such wisdom. O, the benefit of applying it all to our own lives!

Join us as we seek to do just that, as we study Proverbs together each week during Sunday School at 10:00 AM.

Communion Sunday
Jan. 5th, 2025
Be sure to mark your calendars and plan on joining us to participate in the Lord's Supper. We practice this remembrance of Christ's sacrifice on the first Sunday of every month.
Current Study:
A Tour of 1 Samuel
Sunday Mornings
11:00 AM
Having completed our recent series in the Letter to the Galatians, we turn back again to study another Old Testament Book. This time we will be taking a tour through 1Samuel.

Historically speaking, 1Samuel is a significant portion of Scripture because it marks Israel's transition from a very dark period (that we studied in the Book of Judges), into a time when Israel came to be united under the rule of kings.

The Prophet Samuel himself is the key transitionary figure. He served as the final judge in Israel and then is used of God to anoint the first two kings that sat on Israel's throne.

Well, there is much more than a mere historical value that is laden within these pages. But, as always, there are some incredible spiritual treasures to be mined. We hope you will take part in that journey with us.

Our Beliefs

1. The inspiration and absolute authority of an inerrant Bible as the Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20, 21) We believe that the Bible reveals the nature of God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages. (Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:8, 9)
2. In one God, existing in three persons, a tri-unity, equal in essence and co-eternal. (Matt. 3:16, 17; Deut. 5:4; II Cor. 13:14)
3. The Deity and Virgin Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:1; Matt. 1:22, 23; Isa. 7:14)
4. Salvation is “by grace” plus nothing, received as a gift when we confess our sinful nature and trust by faith in the work of the Lord Jesus on the Cross in our behalf. (Eph. 2:8, 9)
5. The bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. (I Cor. 15:3, 4)
6. That God will take those who are His own out of this world at the Rapture before the Tribulation begins. (I Thess. 4:13-18) We believe that the Lord Jesus will return in Glory at the end of the Tribulation Period to set up a literal Kingdom on earth. (Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-7)
7. The everlasting conscious place of the saved with the Lord, and the eternal conscious punishment for all who reject the Lord Jesus in their lifetime on earth. (John 14:1-6; II Cor. 5:8; Luke 16:19-26; II Thess. 1:7-9; Rev. 20:11-15)
8. The local church is an institution established by Christ to evangelize the world and edify the believers. (Matt. 28:19, 20; Eph. 4:11-14) The church does not replace Israel and God’s promises to them. God’s promises to them are eternal. (Jer. 31:31-37; I Cor. 10:32)
9. That there are two ordinances to be practiced by believers in the local church: (a) Water baptism (Matt. 28:19, 20) and (b) the Lord’s Supper. (Luke 22:19, 20; I Cor. 11:23-26) These ordinances are a remembrance and not a sacrament.
10. That all believers are called to a life separated from worldly and sinful practices. (Rom. 13:13, 14; Titus 2:11-15)
